Shopping, Shopping, and More Shopping

It was after midnight by the time I got home last night, so I was too worn out to take my usual barrage of pictures to share.  However, I will still give you the full break down and any help I can with matching up coupons.  I have also decided that I will make a video to upload this evening, showing you how I organize my coupons.  Hopefully that will make up for my laziness in photographing this time : )

As I mentioned in a post earlier this weekend, I decided not to focus on stockpiling and couponing this week, as much as just choosing groceries for making some fabulous (well, at least tasty) meals.  For the past several months I have really focused on maximizing my shopping dollar, and my menu planning has become very blah.

You will notice that my totals were pretty crazy this week, but that’s what happens when you don’t take the time to carefully match up what’s in your pantry with what you put on your menu.  I don’t know about you, but I think we all need to just have fun shopping once in awhile and throw frugal to the wind.  With that said, I still found some really great sales and ended up padding a couple areas of our stockpile too!

I started at Target, then made my way across the street to Wal-Mart, before ending the evening at Dillons.  This allowed me to get to Target before it closed, decide what I could probably get cheaper at Wal-Mart without coupons, and left the rest for Dillons.
